The Venezuelan gang known as Tren de Aragua (TdA), infamous for its criminal operations in South America, has reportedly seized control of at least four apartment complexes in San Antonio, Texas. The gang, notorious for running drug smuggling, human trafficking, and child prostitution rings, is now leveraging the influx of Venezuelan migrants to expand its criminal activities onto U.S. soil.
In a recent police crackdown, authorities arrested 19 individuals, including four confirmed members of the gang, during a dawn raid at Palatia Apartments, according to reports from the Daily Mail. The apartment complex had been under the gang’s control for months, with gang members squatting in vacant units, turning them into drug dens and hubs for child exploitation.

Residents in the area have been living in fear, with some reporting intimidation tactics used by the gang members. “They act like they own the place,” said one anonymous resident. “There’s one Venezuelan here – they call him ‘the boss,’ and his face is covered in tattoos. I’m honestly afraid of him.”
