In a stunning turn of events inside the Department of Justice, a top federal prosecutor has resigned his post, igniting a firestorm over what insiders say is a politically-motivated criminal case involving a violent MS-13 gang member and alleged illegal alien trafficking.
Ben Schrader, once the Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee, abruptly stepped down this week after a grand jury handed down charges against Kilmar Abrego Garcia—an El Salvadoran national long linked to the brutal MS-13 gang.
