A bombshell investigation out of Minnesota is igniting outrage nationwide after a journalist uncovered what appears to be a massive taxpayer-funded fraud scheme tied to Somali-run daycare centers—only to be viciously attacked by the state’s own governor for reporting it.
Independent journalist Nick Shirley released a stunning exposé revealing what he described as widespread abuse of public childcare funds, allegedly totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Rather than address the disturbing findings, Democrat Governor Tim Walz chose to go on the offensive, launching personal attacks against Shirley and dismissing the investigation with inflammatory rhetoric.
The original report, first highlighted by The Gateway Pundit, showed Shirley traveling to multiple Minnesota childcare facilities that claimed to be caring for dozens—sometimes over a hundred—children each day. What he found instead were empty buildings, locked doors, and no visible signs of active daycare operations.
In one particularly alarming moment captured on video, Shirley approached a childcare center reportedly responsible for 102 children. According to state records, the facility was receiving substantial public funding. Yet when Shirley attempted to ask basic questions, the door was abruptly slammed in his face.
