Kaine Trashes America’s Founding Principles
During a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, Kaine compared one of America’s most sacred principles — the belief that rights come from God, not government — to the ideology of Iran’s Islamic dictatorship.
The clash began when Riley Barnes, President Trump’s nominee for assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights, and labor, quoted Secretary of State Marco Rubio: America was “founded on a powerful principle, and that powerful principle is that all men are created equal, because our rights come from God our Creator – not from our laws, not from our governments.”
