The United States is no longer pretending to operate under equal justice. Instead, Americans are watching a dangerous double standard harden into policy—one that punishes conservative speech while giving radical left-wing activists and media figures a free pass to harass, disrupt, and intimidate without consequence.
The latest example comes out of St. Augustine, Florida, where conservative journalist Kaitlin Bennett says she was criminally charged by federal authorities for doing nothing more than asking Democrats questions in a public place. Not vandalism. Not threats. Not violence. Just journalism.
Bennett revealed this week that the National Park Service issued her a federal citation while she was conducting on-the-street interviews on public land. According to Bennett, federal agents approached her during routine reporting and accused her of violating park rules—despite the fact that she was standing on public property and engaging in speech protected by the First Amendment.
This wasn’t a warning. It wasn’t a request. It was a federal charge.
