House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell reportedly got into a heated dispute on June 22 during which McCarthy allegedly threatened to punch Swalwell after the latter called him a “p***y.”
The Daily Beast reports that there was a disagreement during the vote to expel California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff. Republican Anna Paulina Luna of Florida introduced the motion to censure Schiff in the House of Representatives. On June 21, a major vote was held.
McCarthy apparently heard Swalwell say, “This is pathetic,” while he presided over the House. “You’re weak. You’re a weak man.”
Swalwell reportedly left the chamber the next day right before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech to Congress to use the toilet.
McCarthy accosted Swalwell, warning him, “If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the sh*t out of you,” according to an unnamed member of Congress.
“They were in each other’s faces. Basically nose-to-nose,” the source said, per the Daily Beast. Swalwell reportedly responded with something like, ‘Are we really gonna do this?”
“Call me a p*y again, and I’ll kick your a,” Apparently, McCarthy said.
McCarthy and Swalwell had a contentious conversation, but unlike what had been predicted, it did not get physical.
Recently, a majority of House members censured Schiff, making him a famous figure in American history, but not for the proper reasons.
In the history of our country, only 24 members of Congress have ever faced censure and gone through the humiliation of appearing before their colleagues in Congress. Schiff is one of those 24 people.
Schiff has been branded a “criminal” by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) for allegedly abusing his former position as chair of the House Intelligence Committee. Schiff is charged with spreading unfounded rumors about the former president Donald Trump “colluding” with Russia to rig the 2016 election.

In a gripping interview with Fox News, Paulina Luna clarified the House Oversight Committee’s tenacious efforts to hold former Schiff responsible. She stressed his dishonesty in relation to the Trump-Russia inquiry, particularly his unsupported allegations of suspected collaboration.
“I will speak to Adam Schiff. Maria, I have a privileged resolution that I’m bringing to the floor, and we are going to fine that man 16 million dollars for using his position to lie to the American people and ultimately push something that not only destroyed our country but ripped us apart and I believe, maybe even permanently damaging foreign relations. He is a criminal, and Adam Schiff, you will be held accountable,” Luna said.
“And yet, he was privileged to information that not even I or many of my colleagues would be able to see,” Luna went on to say. “He used that position. He absolutely aided and abetted a corrupt FBI into investigating a sitting president.”
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she added.
Earlier this year, Schiff came under fire for allegedly releasing extremely sensitive material repeatedly with the goal of hurting former President Donald Trump.
Former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo said he felt forced to limit the information he supplied with Schiff and his group. His anxiety was caused by the worry that such information would be used as a weapon and selectively exposed to the media.
“During my time as CIA director and secretary of state, I know that he leaked classified information that had been provided to him,” Pompeo said.
After highlighting how serious of a problem it is, Pompeo was questioned by “Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno about why there hasn’t been any accountability since disclosing that sort of material is “a felony at a minimum, up to treason.”
“It’s a complicated process, right? It’s difficult to pin down precisely what happened,” Pompeo said. “But I could tell you that when we provided information to him and to his staff, it ended up in places it shouldn’t have been with alarming regularity. We could see it. In the end, I decided I held back information from them as a result.”
