The View Asks Question That Leaves Military STUNNED

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

For years, Joe Biden’s Pentagon has pushed identity politics and lowered standards in the name of “diversity” and “equity.” Hegseth made it clear that under President Trump, those days are finished.

Hegseth didn’t mince words: new rules will now require every single service member—no matter their rank or position—to meet strict height, weight, and fitness test requirements.

“Whether you’re an airborne ranger or a chairborne ranger, a brand-new private or a four-star general, you need to meet the height and weight standards and pass your PT test,” Hegseth stated.

He also announced that combat jobs would return to their original high standards, regardless of gender.

“This is not about preventing women from serving,” Hegseth explained. “We are – we very much value the impact of female troops… but when it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those physical standards must be high and gender neutral.”

His point was crystal clear: the battlefield doesn’t care about feelings. If you can’t meet the requirements, you don’t belong in combat.

“If women can make it, excellent. If not, it is what it is. If that means no women qualify for combat jobs, so be it,” Hegseth declared.

Instead of applauding Hegseth for demanding accountability, Joy Behar dismissed the message as nothing more than a “very retro vision for our armed forces.”

Then she asked the question that stunned viewers across the country:

“Why is he obsessed with fat?” Behar asked. Sunny Hostin chimed in with, “And fitness.”

Yes, you read that correctly. The hosts of The View actually questioned why military leaders would prioritize fitness for soldiers.

It’s the equivalent of asking why a firefighter needs to carry people out of a burning building, or why a pilot should know how to land a plane. The absurdity speaks for itself.

Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to pile on, claiming: “All of these people from different backgrounds come together and fight for the American values. So, I don’t understand why we have to denigrate the military to try to talk about doing better.”

She couldn’t have missed the point more. Hegseth wasn’t insulting the military—he was demanding strength and readiness from the very people Americans rely on to keep them safe.

Sunny Hostin said she was “befuddled by why he did that” and whined that “The optics were terrible.”

Joy Behar accused Hegseth of “fat-shaming” the military.

Think about that: according to these left-wing hosts, asking soldiers to be in fighting shape is now “bullying.”

This is the same group of people who insisted Americans “follow the science” during the pandemic. But when the science of physical readiness is applied to combat forces, suddenly they claim to know better than combat veterans.

Meanwhile, enemies like China and Russia train their forces to be strong, fast, and lethal. They don’t care about political correctness or “inclusive fitness standards.” They care about winning wars.

Unlike the panelists on ABC’s daytime talk show, Pete Hegseth has actually served in combat. He’s been on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan and knows firsthand what it takes to survive on the battlefield.

For troops facing life-or-death moments, the only thing that matters is whether your fellow soldiers are capable of carrying their weight—literally. Lowering standards doesn’t just weaken the military; it puts lives at risk.

Hegseth made it clear that anyone who disagrees with these new expectations has an easy choice: leave.

“If the words I’m speaking today are making your heart sink, then you should do the honorable thing and resign,” he said. “We would thank you for your service.”

The reaction from The View perfectly illustrates how far the Left has fallen from common sense. Instead of supporting a stronger, leaner, and more capable military, they are more worried about protecting feelings.

When demanding physical fitness from America’s soldiers becomes controversial, you know liberal elites have lost touch with reality.

And that’s exactly why the Trump Administration is bringing back real standards—because America’s enemies aren’t lowering theirs.
