Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a known MS-13 gang member and illegal immigrant, is once again on his way out of the United States. Federal authorities have issued a final order of removal, ending his long fight to remain in the country. While his exact destination is still unclear, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) suggested he could be sent to Africa.
Garcia, who once lived in Maryland, openly admitted that he faced “imminent removal to Uganda” after being returned to the U.S. from El Salvador. Instead of freedom, he was put back on trial for serious human trafficking charges that tied him to criminal operations across state lines.
DHS made its stance crystal clear on Thursday. In a firm statement posted to X, the agency declared: “His lawyers tried to fight his removal from the U.S., but one thing is certain: this Salvadoran man is not going to be able to remain in our country. He will never be allowed to prey on innocent Americans again.”
