The corporate media just found a brand new villain in America’s gun debate. And this time, it’s the same flintlock musket that helped win the Revolutionary War.

Just weeks before the United States begins celebrating its 250th birthday, the Associated Press published a report framing antique muskets as dangerous weapons that supposedly exploit a “loophole” in federal gun laws.

Yes, really.

The same media establishment that has spent decades mocking gun owners by claiming the Founding Fathers only envisioned muskets when they wrote the Second Amendment is suddenly warning Americans that muskets themselves are too dangerous to remain largely unregulated.

And conservatives across the country are calling out the stunning hypocrisy.

The controversy erupted after the AP posted a video on X discussing antique firearms and replica muskets commonly used in Revolutionary War reenactments. The outlet warned viewers that these firearms can still fire deadly projectiles while remaining exempt from many modern gun restrictions.
