Jay Furman, Cuellar’s Republican challenger, isn’t staying quiet. After the election, Furman filed a formal challenge, claiming his name was mysteriously missing from hundreds of ballots.
He presented more than 80 affidavits and legal declarations from voters who stated they couldn’t find his name on their ballots.
“Each was a formal, signed statement made under penalty of perjury, alleging that Furman’s name was missing from the ballot,” one source confirmed.
In response, the Fourth Court of Appeals ordered an immediate forensic review of the ballots—an extraordinary legal victory for Furman. But that order was simply ignored.
County Judge Tano Tijerina refused to comply.
Rather than allow the recount to proceed, local officials stonewalled the process. No full review was ever conducted. No transparency was offered. The recount was quietly buried—and with it, Furman’s objections.
Then came the real twist.
The very judge who blocked Furman’s ballot review, Jose “Tano” Tijerina, has now announced that he is considering a run for the exact same congressional seat. Incredibly, the man who denied Furman the opportunity to inspect allegedly missing ballots now wants to face Furman in the Republican primary.
It’s a blatant conflict of interest—and not a single legacy media outlet has raised an eyebrow.
Where is the journalistic curiosity? Why is a judge with a personal political stake allowed to interfere in a race and then compete in it?
Meanwhile, the numbers don’t pass the smell test. Donald Trump won this very district by seven points in the 2024 presidential race. Yet somehow, Cuellar is reported to have won his House race by five points—a stunning 13-point swing in the same district, on the same day, using the same machines.
That alone should trigger audits, investigations, and front-page headlines. But it hasn’t.
Furman, notably the only Republican running in the race, believes if his name was missing from even a fraction of the ballots, the entire result is suspect. And rightly so.
Leftist media spent years spinning the Trump-Russia hoax. Even after that narrative collapsed, there were no retractions, no shame, and no consequences. But here—where sworn affidavits, blocked recounts, and federal indictments swirl together—the press yawns.
“When government officials violate basic procedures, they are protected. And when a judge blocks a ballot review and then runs for the same seat, he is rewarded with silence,” a local source said.
This is exactly what Americans fear when they talk about the deep state. A web of insiders—from judges and prosecutors to media allies—shielding one another while elections are twisted behind closed doors.
As Furman waits for the official certified recount canvass from the Texas Secretary of State—a required document for challenging the results before the U.S. House—it’s clear that powerful forces are dragging their feet. The Secretary of State even sent the original canvass to the wrong committee, bypassing protocol entirely.
This isn’t just about one race. It’s about whether we still have free and fair elections in America.
If you believe in election integrity, now’s the time to act. Call the Texas Secretary of State at 1-800-252-8683 (ext. 4), the Texas Attorney General at 1-800-621-0508, and the Governor’s Office at 512-463-2000 to demand immediate transparency and a full recount.
Because if this is allowed to stand, no seat is safe—and no vote is sacred.
