Under the guidance of Border Czar Tom Homan, Texas is poised to play a critical role in advancing federal immigration enforcement. Amid growing concerns over illegal immigration and its societal impact, Texas is reportedly planning to collaborate with the federal government on the “Jocelyn Initiative.” This proposal, named after a 12-year-old girl tragically killed in a crime allegedly committed by illegal immigrants, seeks to streamline deportations by constructing new detention centers on Texas soil.

According to the New York Post, the plan would allocate 1,400 acres of state land for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities, enabling the federal government to process and deport illegal immigrants more efficiently. A source familiar with the proposal stated, “We are always gonna be involved in border security so long as we’re a border state.”
