The United States has pulled its entire contingent of B-1 bombers out of a major British airbase following a suspected terror plot that investigators are examining for possible links to Iran.
All 12 B-1 bombers deployed to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire were flown back to the United States over the weekend, marking a significant change at a base that has played an important role in American military operations connected to the conflict with Iran.
The Pentagon acknowledged the redeployment only after the aircraft were safely on their way home, citing security concerns surrounding military movements.
