A 13 year old girl in Burlington, Washington was allegedly attacked by fellow students after being questioned about her political views, including whether she supports President Donald Trump and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The alleged assault took place at Lucille Umbarger Middle School earlier this month. According to reporting by Brandi Krause of unDivided, the situation escalated from what began as a social media post shared by the girl’s boyfriend.
Krause reported that the boy had “posted some TikToks, and in one of them he said, ‘Plan A, marry a nice girl, have kids, get rich.’ And then the other one, he said, ‘Plan B, become an ICE agent.’”
That post, seemingly lighthearted to some, reportedly triggered outrage among certain students. Days later, the 13 year old girl was confronted inside the girls’ locker room by two classmates who demanded to know where she stood politically.
According to the girl and her mother, the confrontation quickly turned aggressive. The two students allegedly pressed her “to know whether she supports Donald Trump and ICE. And when she tells them it’s none of her business, they violently assault her.”
