Don Lemon’s Church Comment Sparks Firestorm

On a Sunday morning in January, families filled the pews at Cities Church in St. Paul. Parents sat beside their children. Worship had begun. Then chaos erupted.

According to federal prosecutors, a group of activists flooded the aisles, blasted whistles, and obstructed exits, creating panic inside the sanctuary. Some children reportedly feared for their parents’ safety as confusion swept the building.

Lemon was present that morning. Now, he claims he was there strictly as a journalist.

But a 14-page federal grand jury indictment tells a very different story.

Named in 13 “Overt Acts”

The charging document accuses Lemon of participating in what activists allegedly called “Operation Pull Up.” Prosecutors say he attended a morning gathering described in the indictment as a “pre-op briefing.” at a nearby shopping center before the church service.

The filing names Lemon in 13 of the 29 “overt acts” listed in the case.

  1. Because of what the Journalism profession has descended to, I believe it’s time for those journalists who plea with national audiences to be licensed with a full and comprehensive Code of Professional Ethics ensuring they are acting as professionals and not trying to convince someone how to think or vote! That’s not their job!

Today we have demogogues with an agenda who are not informing the public with news, but are acting as propagandists in an attempt to force their political bent on the rest of us!

If the defense to this uses the first amendment as to why licensing is a bad idea, then I ask, does the first amendment create and protect a liar attempting to deceive the American people?

Don’t waste my time with you phony excuses!)
