In yet another hard-left push for wealth redistribution, Democrat Rep. Summer Lee of Pennsylvania has announced her plan to reintroduce a sweeping resolution calling for massive reparations to be paid to Black Americans — a move that could cost American taxpayers trillions of dollars.
Lee unveiled the radical proposal at a Democrat-led event in Washington D.C. this week. The event, hosted by progressive Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), was titled, “Why We Can’t Wait: Advancing Reparative Justice in Our Lifetime.” If the title didn’t give it away, the event served as a platform for some of the most far-left figures in Congress to promote their racial grievance agenda.
Joining Booker on stage were other key members of the Democrat Party’s progressive wing — Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Hank Johnson (D-GA), and Summer Lee herself, who announced she would introduce the “Reparations Now Resolution” on Thursday.
