Student Confession Blows Up Don Lemon Case

Don Lemon’s attempt to shield himself behind the First Amendment is rapidly falling apart.

New details emerging from federal court filings and media reports are raising serious questions about Lemon’s role in a January protest that erupted inside a Minnesota church during a worship service. What Lemon has repeatedly described as routine reporting now looks far more coordinated and intentional.

At the center of the controversy is Jerome Richardson, a Temple University student who has now admitted to helping Lemon behind the scenes before the protest took place.

Richardson, a senior political science major, surrendered to federal authorities in Philadelphia this week. He faces charges related to the January 18 incident at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, where demonstrators stormed a religious service while shouting anti ICE slogans. Lemon was arrested in connection with the same event and later released pending further court proceedings.

The former CNN host has maintained that he was simply covering a chaotic protest as a journalist. But Richardson’s own statements are undermining that narrative.
