Sister’s Phone at Center of Omar Raid!

Federal investigators reportedly uncovered text messages on the phone of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s sister that helped pave the way for a court-authorized search of the Minnesota congresswoman’s Washington, D.C., residence, adding a new dimension to a growing investigation into her family’s immigration history.

According to reporting by The New York Times, the messages belonging to Sahra Noor became a significant part of the evidence investigators examined while building a potential criminal case involving alleged immigration fraud. The report cited people familiar with the investigation who were not publicly identified.

The revelations come after federal agents searched Omar’s home on October 12, escalating a long-running controversy surrounding questions about her family’s immigration records and the circumstances under which she obtained U.S. citizenship.
