Shocking Poll: Biden’s Big Trouble in Deep Blue State!

According to a new survey by the Siena College Research Institute, President Joe Biden’s support is dwindling in New York State. Given that New York has historically been a bastion of the Democratic party, this is troubling news. Favorability ratings for the President have significantly declined, falling from 50-45% in September to a current range of 45-52%.

His job approval ratings have decreased, going from 47 to 48% to 46 to 51% from the preceding month.

There appears to be change in the air as we approach the elections of 2024. A staggering 52% of Democrats now endorse a different presidential candidate, marking a substantial change from the 54% who backed Biden in September. It’s time to focus on these figures.

From a prior edge of 52-31%, Biden’s lead against Trump has decreased to 46-37%. But when independent contenders Cornell West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. enter the race, it gets more interesting.

In this case, Biden’s margin over Trump drops to 38-31%. West receives 5% of the vote, while Kennedy receives 13%. Kennedy Jr. just declared his campaign as an independent for president in the 2024 election. He is a well-known environmental lawyer and descendant of the illustrious Kennedy political family. Kennedy Jr. believes that the DNC modified the rules on purpose to disfavor him, which is what prompted him to decide to run independently, according to sources.

The immigration discussion in New York shows no signs of abating. Voters now view the current wave of immigration as an urgent concern for the state in a startling 84% of cases, with 57% identifying it as a “very serious” issue. This is an improvement from August, when just 54% of respondents expressed this degree of worry.

According to 64% of respondents, New York has done enough to welcome new immigrants and should instead concentrate on lowering that number. This point of view is echoed by 58% of respondents who concur with Mayor Eric Adams’ worry that the immigration crisis might “destroy New York City.”

Steven Greenberg, a pollster for Siena College, offered the following analysis of the results: “Is New York still ‘true blue?’ True, 49% of voters are enrolled as Democrats and only 23% as Republicans. True, the last Republican presidential candidate to win here was Ronald Reagan in 1984. But also true is that just last year, a Republican came within seven points of being elected governor. And also true is that right now, Biden has his worst-ever New York favorability and job approval ratings.”

“The good news for Biden is the election is more than a year away. The bad news is there’s more bad news.”

“While 70% of Democrats view Biden favorably, and 70% of Democrats approve of the job he’s doing, 52% of Democrats say they want a different presidential nominee in 2024,” Greenberg explained.

“And in general, Biden only leads Trump 46-37%, a far cry from the 61-38% margin Biden won by in 2020. Biden’s lead slips to just seven points if RFK and West – who, combined, win the support of nearly one in five voters – are on the ballot.”

59% of New Yorkers think that crime has become worse in the last year, and they are very concerned about it. Voters support boosting military and economic aid to Israel (57-32%), while they prefer extending it to Ukraine (51-38%).
