The Grammy-winning singer didn’t just change zip codes—she completely overhauled her life after a string of deeply personal crises forced her to reevaluate everything.

For years, Crow was a staple of the California celebrity scene, beloved for her laid-back vibe and hit songs like “All I Wanna Do” and “Everyday Is a Winding Road.” But as she recently shared, that seemingly carefree life came crashing down in 2006.

“We all have those moments in our life where we have to pivot,” Crow said in an interview with Variety. “I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, and I moved here in 2007.”

At the time, Crow was engaged to disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. The two began dating in 2003 and were set to marry in 2005. But in a devastating turn, they split just weeks before she received her diagnosis. It was a one-two punch that shattered her emotionally.
