Sheriff’s Gun Verdict: Truth Emerges in Jacksonville!

The perpetrator of a “racially motivated” attack at a Dollar General shop in Jacksonville, Florida, has been identified as Ryan Christopher Palmeter, 21.

Sheriff T.K. Waters of Jacksonville confirms a horrific event that occurred in an area with a high concentration of African Americans. Prior to taking his own life, Palmeter’s involvement caused the sad deaths of two men and a woman. Watch this space for updates on this terrible occurrence.

Palmeter, according to Waters “lived with his parents in Orange Park in Clay County, Florida,” and had no known “criminal or arrest history.”

During the assault, Palmeter was outfitted with a tactical vest, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, and a Glock pistol.

Sheriff Waters categorically denies that the use of firearms in this horrible crime is to blame.

“We have to stop people that have bad intentions,” Sheriff Waters said. “The story is always about guns. People are bad. This guy’s a bad guy.”

“If I could take my gun off right now and I lay it on this counter, nothing will happen,” he continued. “It’ll sit there. But as soon as a wicked person grabs a hold of that handgun and start shooting people with it, there’s the problem. The problem is the individual.”

“Now, guns are a tool that people use to do horrible things, but it’s the individuals that wield these things,” he added. “So we are working hard to try to stop that. But in this situation, in this case, there was nothing saying there was nothing illegal about him owning the firearms.”

Authorities in Florida have made public images of a weapon with swastika insignia on it that they believe belonged to the masked white assailant who attacked the Dollar General shop with a “racially motivated” attack. The attacker, who was armed with an AR-15 and a Glock handgun, entered the shop in a community with a large African American population at 1 p.m. on Saturday and started firing right away, according to Sheriff T.K. Waters.

Images posted on the sheriff’s Facebook page show the AR-15 gun covered in two swastikas and other disturbing white symbols. A pistol can be seen resting near to what looks to be a puddle of blood in another image.

Although the shooter’s and the victims’ names were originally kept a secret, Waters did admit that the assailant had written “several manifestos,” some of which described his “disgusting ideology of hate.” Shortly before the violent incident, he forwarded these notes to his parents, federal authorities, and at least one media outlet.

Sheriff Waters reiterated that the shooter operated on his own, saying “there is absolutely no evidence the shooter is part of any larger group.”

Palmeter’s past was only partially revealed by Waters, who said that the shooter had previously been involved in a domestic violence episode in 2016 and had been uninvitedly sent to a mental health facility for assessment. Unfortunately, no other details were given about these instances.
