That wasn’t the only reason for their silence.
White House correspondents weren’t just avoiding the issue out of partisanship — they were being threatened. According to Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich, the Biden team actively intimidated journalists who dared to question the president’s abilities.
“The White House was very effective in maligning anyone who was skeptical about the president’s age and abilities as a bad actor,” Heinrich revealed. “As someone who is not a good journalist. And they abused us, too.”
Even host Bill Hemmer was shocked. “Sorry, they what?” he asked in disbelief.
“They abused us!” Heinrich doubled down. “I had people in that press office tell me I was not a good reporter because I was asking questions about these things — with sourcing. … They would just like to shut down that discussion.”
This is nothing short of a journalistic scandal. Instead of defending the public’s right to know, the Biden team resorted to bullying and censorship.
While others in the White House press room fell in line, Peter Doocy kept pressing forward. He recently released a thread on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing seven examples where he demanded answers about Biden’s condition and cognitive ability.
“I have some unique insight on President Biden, having dedicated six years of my life to covering him,” Doocy wrote. “If you are wondering why nobody asked about his mental fitness, and why nobody asked if White House staffers were covering up his decline … then you weren’t paying attention. Here are 7 times I did just that.”
From the Pentagon chain of command during Biden’s bedtime to bizarre statements like speaking with a deceased French president, Doocy raised issues that are impossible to ignore.
In one exchange, he grilled Karine Jean-Pierre about Biden repeating himself at a fundraiser.
In another, he demanded answers about claims from Franklin Foer’s book The Last Politician, which describes Biden’s staff treating him “like a baby.”
Doocy even confronted Biden directly over special counsel Robert Hur’s bombshell report, which stated no jury would convict Biden of mishandling classified documents because he’s a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
All of this came to a head when the audio of Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur was released. In it, Biden failed to remember when his son Beau died, when he served as Vice President, or when Donald Trump was elected.
And yet, most of the media refused to even mention it.
Even more alarming: Biden has reportedly battled stage four prostate cancer — a detail so significant, yet barely discussed by major outlets.
This level of media complicity is unprecedented. Rather than inform the public, most reporters helped the White House hide the truth — even as the president of the United States continues to show signs of serious cognitive and physical decline.
Despite pressure, threats, and ridicule, Peter Doocy has continued to do what journalism is supposed to do: ask the tough questions, pursue the truth, and hold those in power accountable.
While others cowered, Doocy stood his ground.
It’s time the American people demand transparency — and thank the few journalists, like Doocy, who refuse to let the truth be buried.
