California’s war with the federal government over commercial driver’s licenses just turned deadly again.
A horrifying crash on a Northern California highway has reignited outrage over Governor Gavin Newsom’s refusal to crack down on commercial licenses issued to illegal immigrants, even after repeated warnings from federal officials that lives were at risk.
Now Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says the unthinkable happened once again.
Another illegal migrant allegedly responsible for a deadly trucking disaster had reportedly been granted a California commercial driver’s license before the fatal wreck.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Manvir Singh, entered the United States illegally through Arizona in 2023 after being apprehended by border officials during the Biden administration’s mass catch-and-release operations.
Instead of being deported, Singh was released into the country.
