One suspect, Andres Trejo-velazquez, is identified as a migrant to the United States.
The nightmare began to unravel on February 4, 2025, when the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation following disturbing reports of child sexual abuse linked to the bunker in Brent.
Through diligent interviews, investigators quickly identified William Chase McElroy. He is currently jailed in Bibb County facing a litany of charges: four counts of Rape in the First Degree, six counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree, six counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and four counts of Kidnapping in the First Degree.
The investigation intensified. On April 25, 2025, Dalton Terrell was identified and arrested. Terrell is also held in the Bibb County Jail, charged with six counts of Rape in the First Degree, twelve counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and five counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.
Further relentless work led to the arrest of Andres Velazquez-Trejo on April 29, 2025. Velazquez-Trejo is likewise confined in the Bibb County Jail, facing six counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.

He extends gratitude to the Alabama Fusion Center for their exceptional assistance, our Bibb County Dispatchers for their help, as well as to the Homeland Security Investigations Division. Sheriff Wade also commends the Bibb County Department of Human Resources for their critical role in protecting our children and acknowledges the Child Advocacy Center Forensic Interview Center in Centreville. Additionally, Sheriff Wade expresses his appreciation for the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office for their support in this case.”
Sheriff Wade delivered a powerful message to the community, leaving no doubt about the gravity of the crimes or the response. “Sheriff Wade reiterates that such abhorrent behavior will not be tolerated in Bibb County and that offenders will face prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”
As the community reels from the revelation of such profound evil lurking beneath the surface, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues its painstaking work. “As this is an ongoing case, details are currently limited.” The focus remains on securing justice for the young survivors and ensuring no other children suffer in silence. The rescued children are receiving critical care and support as the legal process begins against those accused of perpetrating three years of hell on earth.
