Trump Confronts Fed Chair—It Gets Heated!

President Donald Trump didn’t hold back Thursday when he toured the Federal Reserve’s out-of-control renovation project in Washington, D.C. Originally projected at $1.9 billion, the cost of the upgrade has now reportedly ballooned to a jaw-dropping $3.1 billion — and the Fed Chair himself, Jerome Powell, appeared completely blindsided.

Trump visited the site accompanied by top allies including Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), former OMB Director Russ Vought, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Chairman Bill Pulte, and Trump’s own appointees to the National Capital Planning Commission, James Blair and Will Scharf. The group also included various construction experts.

“Getting ready to head over to the Fed to look at their, now, $3.1 Billion Dollar (PLUS!) construction project,” Trump posted, previewing his visit. It didn’t take long for the fireworks to start.
