Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner took a terrifying turn when gunfire reportedly erupted, sending attendees scrambling for cover and forcing a major security response. What should have been a night centered on media and politics quickly became another reminder of the growing instability surrounding America’s toxic political climate.
But less than 24 hours later, Rep. Jamie Raskin appeared on CNN and delivered a response that left many viewers stunned.
During an interview with Dana Bash, Raskin was asked directly whether Democrats should reconsider the increasingly aggressive language often used against President Donald Trump. Instead of reflecting on the question, Raskin fired back with a dismissive answer:
“What rhetoric do you have in mind?”
That response raised eyebrows immediately.
