Providence Chief’s Answer Will Leave You Speechless

Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez Jr., a Colombian immigrant, refused to answer reporters’ questions about whether the Brown University shooter shouted anything before opening fire on two students.

The tragic shooting occurred Saturday on the Rhode Island campus, leaving two young students critically injured. One of the victims, 19-year-old Ella Cook, served as the vice president of Brown University’s Republican Club.

During a Monday press conference, Chief Perez repeatedly sidestepped questions about whether the shooter yelled “Allahu Akbar!” prior to the attack.

Multiple media outlets, however, have reported that the suspect did indeed shout the Arabic phrase before committing the horrific act.
