Most Americans assume the soaps and cleansers in their homes are keeping their families safe. But one shocking announcement just turned that trust upside down.
A major hand soap manufacturer has now admitted that products sitting in medicine cabinets across the United States may actually carry a potentially deadly threat.
DermaRite Issues Urgent Recall
DermaRite Industries stunned consumers by issuing an emergency recall of several everyday products after internal testing uncovered dangerous bacterial contamination.
The company revealed that the soaps and cleansers were tainted with a pathogen capable of causing severe illness. In some cases, the bacteria can even trigger “life-threatening sepsis.”
Among the recalled items are:
- DermaKleen antiseptic lotion soap with vitamin E (1,000ml and 800ml)
- KleenFoam antimicrobial foam soap with aloe vera (1,000ml)
- DermaSarra external analgesic (7.5oz)
- PeriGiene antiseptic cleanser (7.5oz)
These products were distributed nationwide, from hospitals to households, as well as across Puerto Rico. Millions of Americans could unknowingly have them sitting in their bathrooms right now.
