Democrats are hitting rock bottom. A shocking new Gallup poll reveals that less than one percent of Democrat voters say they’re satisfied with the direction of the country — the lowest figure ever recorded.
The collapse comes just months after President Donald Trump secured re-election, marking a stunning reversal in morale for the Left. Before Election Day, satisfaction among Democrats hovered just under 50 percent. Within weeks of Trump’s victory, it cratered to single digits.
Republicans, meanwhile, are experiencing the exact opposite. After enduring rock-bottom satisfaction numbers during Joe Biden’s presidency, GOP voters are now overwhelmingly optimistic about the nation’s direction. Gallup reports that 76 percent of Republican respondents are satisfied — a number that has held steady since Trump returned to office.
This 76-point gap between Republicans and Democrats is the widest partisan divide Gallup has ever measured. For perspective, Gallup noted that just last year, Republicans were nearly as demoralized as Democrats are now. But the split wasn’t nearly as dramatic: “the partisan split sat at 35 points at the time because just 36 percent of Democrat respondents expressed satisfaction with the country’s direction at the time.”
