Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives from California, boldly stated on Sunday that states might choose to ignore the US Constitution and bar Donald Trump from running for president.
Pelosi spoke with presenter George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week” about Trump’s attempt to challenge Colorado’s election results to the US Supreme Court.

In an effort to be on the ballot for 2024, President Trump is attempting to reverse the decision made by the Colorado Supreme Court.
The Colorado Supreme Court has decided to prevent Trump from appearing on the ballot in 2024, which is a big ruling.
Oral arguments in the Colorado ballot issue will be heard by the US Supreme Court on Friday.
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which stipulates that public officers who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” The US might not be allowed to hold public office.
To far, Donald Trump has not been officially charged or accused of taking part in an act of rebellion or insurrection against the United States.
According to the US Constitution, a president must meet three criteria:
- Be a natural-born citizen of the United States.
- Be at least 35 years old.
- Have been a resident of the United States for 14 years.
Nancy Pelosi claims that states may overturn the US Constitution and forbid Trump from running for office.

Prominent longtime Democrat and Deep State ally George Stephanopoulos was taken aback by Pelosi’s novel proposal.
“You believe [Trump] is ineligible to be president?” Pelosi was questioned by Stephanopoulos about the 14th Amendment.
“They have different laws from state-to-state,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi was interrupted by a startled Stephanopoulos, who said, “It’s the Constitution.”
“That’s not the point,” Pelosi stated while elaborating on how state regulations vary.
