Patel’s Immigration Crackdown Begins!

In a seismic shift of federal law enforcement priorities, FBI Director Kash Patel has authorized the reassignment of up to 2,000 agents to directly assist in immigration enforcement operations. The move comes as the Trump administration accelerates its crackdown on illegal immigration, signaling a full-court press against what it calls the “criminally negligent” border policies of the Biden era.

A series of internal memos obtained this week confirm that the FBI will divert roughly 45 percent of its agents to immigration-related duties in coordination with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Field offices across the nation have reportedly been told to “ramp up operational tempo,” while traditional white-collar investigations are being deprioritized.

“As you know, we have been actively engaged in immigration enforcement efforts in coordination with our DOJ and DHS partners,” reads one of the memos. “Starting this week, we will need to see an increase in operational tempo in your immigration efforts. DOJ expects a significant increase in the number of agents participating in immigration enforcement operations.”
