But the Trump administration wasn’t about to stop there.
Recognizing the urgent need for accountability, Attorney General Pam Bondi stepped forward with a hard-hitting Justice Department memo that announced a new wave of legal enforcement.
Bondi Unleashes Federal Investigations Into Child Mutilation
Bondi’s memo pulled no punches, pinning the blame squarely on the Biden White House.
“The Biden administration bears enormous responsibility for the medical community’s fraud and exploitation of parents and children who have fallen prey to radical gender ideology,” Bondi’s memo stated.
Bondi didn’t just point fingers — she laid out how Biden celebrated transgender influencers like Dylan Mulvaney and weaponized federal agencies to push radical surgeries on minors.
“President Biden personally advanced the agenda by hosting transgender activist influencers like Dylan Mulvaney at the White House, opposing state-level bans on gender-affirming care for minors, threatening legal action against Medicaid and Obamacare providers who fail to offer such care, and appointing Rachel Levine – a leading transgender activist who personally identifies as transgender – to serve as Assistant Secretary for Health,” Bondi’s memo added.
This wasn’t just a statement of values — it was a declaration of legal war.
Justice Department Targets “Exploitation and Mutilation” of Minors
Bondi made clear that the Justice Department will start enforcing federal laws already on the books that criminalize these barbaric practices.
“In the United States, it is a felony to perform, attempt to perform, or conspire to perform female genital mutilation (‘FGM’) on any person under the age of 18. That crime carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years per count,” Bondi warned.
And it doesn’t stop with surgeons. Bondi revealed that the DOJ will also crack down on pharmaceutical companies and medical providers who have been lying to parents about the long-term effects of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
“The Department of Justice will investigate and hold accountable medical providers and pharmaceutical companies that mislead the public about the long-term side effects of chemical and surgical mutilations,” she wrote.
Bondi also directed the Consumer Protection Branch to investigate manufacturers who are falsely marketing puberty blockers and other drugs used in so-called “gender transitions.”

“I am directing the Civil Division’s Consumer Protection Branch to undertake appropriate investigations of any violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by manufacturers and distributors engaged in misbranding by making false claims about the on- or off-label use of puberty blockers, sex hormones, or any other drug used to facilitate a child’s so-called ‘gender transition,’” Bondi continued.
