“Liberation Day” Hits Trade Cheats Worldwide
On April 2, President Trump declared what many are now calling “Liberation Day,” announcing new 10% baseline tariffs on almost every foreign nation. Canada and Mexico were hit even harder — with many of their exports facing a punishing 25% tariff, and Canadian energy slapped with a 10% hike.
The move came after Trump uncovered what he described as a decades-long campaign by Canada to undermine American farmers and manufacturers.
