It didn’t stop there. In a shameful display, Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen even traveled to El Salvador to visit Garcia, raising margaritas and smiles for the cameras. It was a stunning photo-op — until the truth about Garcia came crashing down.
As it turns out, Garcia bore the ink of MS-13, the violent gang terrorizing communities from Central America to U.S. suburbs. Not one but two immigration judges determined that Garcia was a known MS-13 member. The liberal narrative collapsed almost overnight.
Suddenly, the same Democrats who were eager to turn Garcia into a victim went silent. No one wanted to talk about him anymore — especially not Ilhan Omar.
When Daily Caller reporter Myles Morrell approached Omar about a report that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries had ordered Democrats to drop any further trips to visit Garcia, the Congresswoman completely lost it.
“I think you should **** off,” Omar snapped at Morrell.
Stunned, Morrell sought clarification: “I’m sorry. What, Congresswoman?”
Omar, without blinking, repeated the insult: “**** off.”
Moments later, one of Omar’s staffers rushed in, attempting to block the camera and end the confrontation. “We’re not taking any more questions right now, but here you go,” the staffer said while covering the lens.
“Yeah, thanks,” Morrell responded, catching the entire encounter on film.

Given what has surfaced about Garcia, it’s no wonder Democrats like Omar are running for cover. Body cam footage from a 2022 Tennessee traffic stop revealed Garcia packed into a vehicle with eight illegal aliens. Suspiciously, there was no luggage in the car, and Garcia claimed he was merely driving them from Texas to Maryland — a key route often linked to human smuggling operations.
Despite the red flags, when police contacted immigration authorities, no one from the Biden administration showed up. Incredibly, Garcia was allowed to leave with just a citation.
More damaging revelations surfaced from Garcia’s personal life, too. In a custody battle, Garcia’s wife’s ex-husband, Edwin Trejo Ramos, declared under oath that Garcia was affiliated with a gang. “She is dating a gang member,” Ramos attested in court documents seeking emergency custody of his children.
The entire debacle shows just how far Democrats are willing to go to shield dangerous individuals if it suits their political narrative — even at the expense of American safety. And when the truth comes to light, as it just did, their only answer is rage, denial, and vulgarity on camera.
Ilhan Omar’s meltdown might have been caught on film, but it’s her party’s stunning hypocrisy that’s now fully exposed for the world to see.
