MSNBC Caught Lying About Kash Patel?!

In a stunning turn of events, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” was forced to issue a correction after airing a sensational and unsubstantiated claim targeting FBI Director Kash Patel—a man whose very presence seems to rattle the leftist media establishment.

It all started with a provocative segment last Friday, when former FBI Assistant Director Frank Figliuzzi, now a routine anti-Trump pundit, took a cheap shot at Patel. Speaking on air, Figliuzzi alleged that Patel was spending more time in nightclubs than managing affairs at FBI headquarters. “Reportedly, he’s been visible at nightclubs far more than he has been on the seventh floor of the Hoover building,” Figliuzzi said, adding that Patel’s intelligence briefings had been downgraded to “maybe twice-weekly.”

The claim, as baseless as it was outrageous, quickly made the rounds across media outlets hungry for more scandal and innuendo. But by Monday, the network was forced to do what few in corporate media are ever willing to do—backtrack.

“Frank Figliuzzi was on that hour, discussing the work of administration officials,” said co-host Jonathan Lemire in a reluctant clarification. “At the end of that segment, Figliuzzi said that FBI Director Kash Patel has been more visible at nightclubs than the FBI headquarters. This was a misstatement. We have not verified that claim.”
