Omar’s 2013 Arrest Photo Just Leaked Back Out!

Just when many Americans thought they had seen everything from controversial Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, an old arrest photo from 2013 has suddenly returned to the spotlight—bringing renewed attention to her past activism and the legal trouble that came before her rise to Congress.

The resurfaced mugshot stems from an incident in Minneapolis years before Omar became one of the most recognizable members of the progressive left in Washington. At the time, she was involved in a disturbance at the upscale Hotel Ivy during a visit from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Reports from the incident state that Omar and several activists followed the president’s motorcade into the hotel lobby. Authorities allegedly gave repeated orders for the group to leave the property, but some refused to comply, leading to police intervention.

American Experiment previously revisited the controversy and pointed to reporting first highlighted during Omar’s initial congressional run in 2018.
