In a dramatic display of political panic, former President Barack Obama lashed out Thursday morning over the passage of President Donald Trump’s groundbreaking new legislation — the “One Big Beautiful Bill” — which bulldozed through the House in a razor-thin vote overnight.
Obama, who’s never really left Washington since vacating the White House in 2017, issued a fiery statement trying to rally resistance as the transformative bill heads to the Senate. It appears the former president still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that his political heir, Joe Biden, was ousted by voters in a stunning upset last year.
“Right now, Republicans in Congress are trying to push through a bill that would put millions of Americans at risk of losing their health care,” Obama warned in his statement, dripping with fear-mongering and hyperbole.
“They want to cut federal funding for Medicaid, take away tax credits that help more people afford coverage, and raise costs for working class families.”
