Obama Aide BUSTED in Cartel Cash Scandal!

From Senior DEA Executive To Alleged Cartel Asset

Campo served roughly twenty–five years inside the agency, including a period as deputy chief of the Office for Financial Operations. Prosecutors say he and Sensi began engaging with the undercover contact in late 2024 after Sensi pitched the source on having a connection who once ran DEA financial ops and could help move drug proceeds without detection.

The confidential source claimed to represent CJNG, the cartel run by the notorious Nemesio Ruben “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes. CJNG is infamous for trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine across the U.S. border while enforcing its empire with extreme brutality.

Cryptocurrency, Real Estate, And Weapons Deals On The Table

According to the indictment, Campo and Sensi allegedly agreed to wash roughly twelve million dollars in drug cash through cryptocurrency and possible real estate plays. They also repeatedly flaunted Campo’s government background, discussing how to shift bulk money through covert channels.

The pair allegedly went even further. Prosecutors say cartel contacts brought up fentanyl production, drone warfare, and a laundry list of military–grade weapons including M16 rifles, M4 carbines, AR-15 platforms, grenade launchers, and rocket-propelled grenades.

In one chilling exchange, the undercover source described the cartel’s method of weaponizing drones: “what we do with the drones, we put explosives and we just send it over there, boom.” Sensi later responded that a drone could carry six kilograms of C-4, saying it was enough to “blow up the whole f—— . . . I don’t want to say.”

Money Laundering, Drug Transactions, And Federal Charges

Prosecutors say Campo and Sensi successfully laundered $750,000 as part of the investigation, believing the funds were illicit cartel profits. In reality, law enforcement controlled the transfers the entire time.

The indictment also alleges the men arranged payment for a massive cocaine shipment weighing approximately 220 kilograms, expecting it to be sold for about five million dollars in American cities including New York.

Campo, 61, and Sensi, 75, are now charged with a long list of federal crimes including conspiracy to commit narcoterrorism, drug trafficking conspiracy, providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, and money laundering conspiracy. Both men pleaded not guilty.

DEA Leadership Responds: “We Will Not Look Away”

DEA Administrator Terrance C. Cole issued a blistering statement, making clear the agency will not tolerate corruption within its ranks.

“The indictment of former Special Agent Paul Campo sends a powerful message: those who betray the public trust—past or present—will be held to account to the fullest extent of the law.”

He added that any former agent who engages in criminal activity “dishonors the men and women who serve with integrity and undermines the public’s confidence in law enforcement.” Cole ended with a warning: “We will not look the other way simply because someone once wore this badge.”

U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton also condemned CJNG as a violent criminal enterprise and praised investigators for exposing the alleged scheme.
