NYC Mayor’s Gifted School Plan EXPOSED!

New York City’s first socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani, is moving to dismantle the city’s gifted and talented programs for kindergarteners, forcing students to wait until third grade for advanced instruction. Education advocates who have spent years defending these programs are sounding the alarm.

Sarah Parshall Perry of Defending Education didn’t hold back on Mamdani’s plan. “The guy went to expensive private schools his entire life, then gets elected and immediately tries shutting down the one program that gives poor kids access to advanced learning,” she said.

Perry’s group has fought for years to protect New York City’s gifted and talented programs after activists tried to shut them down, claiming they were discriminatory. The courts sided with the programs, ruling they complied with state law and did not violate equal protection.

Now, Mamdani is attempting through city policy what activists couldn’t achieve in court. The programs remain legal and constitutional, but apparently, the mayor thinks he knows better than the judges.
