NHC Issues New Advisory as Storm Forms

The National Hurricane Center is closely watching a pair of tropical systems churning across the Eastern Pacific, with one storm rapidly losing strength while a newly formed depression could soon earn a name.

Tropical Storm Norbert is moving farther into the open Pacific, and forecasters increasingly believe the storm is running out of time.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Fifteen-E has developed hundreds of miles southwest of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and could strengthen into the Eastern Pacific’s next tropical storm.
