Democrats on the House Oversight Committee tried to ignite a political firestorm Wednesday morning by dropping what they dramatically labeled a “tranche of correspondence” from the Epstein Estate. They claimed the emails would “strike a blow against the White House’s Epstein cover-up.” Instead, they published three unrelated exchanges spanning 2011 to 2019 — and instantly raised more questions about their own motives than anything involving President Trump.
The White House wasted no time calling out the stunt. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told FOX News Digital, “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.” Their effort collapsed almost immediately under basic scrutiny.
The oldest email, from 2011, was a brief back-and-forth between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein wrote around mid-afternoon:
“i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [REDACTED VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75% there”
Nearly five hours later, Maxwell replied: “I have been thinking about that…”
