The Nevada Secretary of State is putting changes into place as a result of many voters raising concerns about anomalies in their online records, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

According to Democratic Secretary Cisco Aguilar, his office learned on Sunday that there may be technological problems affecting the online registration data of Nevada voters. In a statement on Monday, he promised to solve the issue quickly.

Voter registrars in certain counties may not have correctly updated registration information in the statewide system, according to technicians looking into the system malfunction. New records are uploaded to the secretary of state’s database every night by the county offices in the area. A vital step was disregarded by officials: the records of voters who failed to submit votes that were sought were withheld.

“Our office has been validating new files from each county and moving them into production as soon as the accuracy of the data is verified,” stated in the statement the office of the secretary of state.
