For months, Democrats blasted President Trump’s decision to deploy National Guard troops to Washington, D.C., calling it “unnecessary political theater” and a “waste of resources.” Critics mocked the mission, claiming the troops were “picking up trash” instead of making any real difference.
But one shocking incident just proved Trump was right all along.
Last Wednesday night, National Guard members patrolling Southeast D.C. stopped a violent street fight before it turned deadly. According to police, a woman identified as Tiana Robinson, 31, pulled a 12-inch kitchen knife and attacked a man in a heated brawl. Robinson was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after allegedly slashing at the victim. Another suspect, Kenneth Evans, 29, was charged with simple assault after punching the victim’s cousin.
Court documents reveal that the incident began shortly after the victim and his cousin left a restaurant and noticed they were being followed. When Evans threw the first punch, the victim stepped in to defend his relative — and that’s when Robinson reportedly lunged with the knife. The victim’s hand was badly cut and required treatment at Howard University Hospital.
