FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino revealed that Robinson’s radical shift toward extremist left-wing politics was evident in the weeks leading up to the shooting.

Authorities have credited the FBI’s quick work and aggressive media outreach for bringing Robinson into custody just 33 hours after the attack. For comparison, the manhunt for Luigi Mangione — the suspect who murdered UnitedHealth Group’s CEO in New York — dragged on for five days.
Law enforcement experts say Patel’s decision to release security footage early was key to solving the case. While most investigators hesitate to make such evidence public, Patel authorized it within hours of the attack — and it paid off.
