A suspected home invasion in Normandy, Missouri, ended with a would-be burglar dead after he allegedly forced his way into an occupied residence and was confronted by gunfire.
The incident unfolded on August 13 and is now under investigation by local authorities. Police said the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jody Jordan, was found inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Fox2Now.com, officers arrived at the residence after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. By the time police reached the scene, the call had been updated to report a shooting.
The Normandy Police Department said Jordan had allegedly made his way into the occupied home by violently breaking through the entrance.
