In a rare show of overwhelming bipartisanship, the House of Representatives voted 409-2 on Monday to pass the TAKE IT DOWN Act, a bill aimed at crushing the exploitation of intimate imagery online — especially deepfakes generated by artificial intelligence.
The bill, which already cleared the Senate unanimously earlier this year, now heads to President Donald Trump’s desk for final approval. Once signed, it will deliver a devastating blow to predators using real or digitally altered images to harm innocent victims.

Melania Trump, who has championed this cause through her “Be Best” initiative, celebrated the resounding success.
“Today’s bipartisan passage of the Take It Down Act is a powerful statement that we stand united in protecting the dignity, privacy, and safety of our children,” Melania declared Monday. “I am thankful to the Members of Congress — both in the House and Senate — who voted to protect the well-being of our youth.”
