Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly just blew a massive hole in the left’s latest anti-Trump narrative, reminding Americans that many of the same tactics Democrats now call “dangerous” or “authoritarian” were first normalized under former President Barack Obama.
For days, corporate media outlets and Democrat lawmakers have been melting down over President Donald Trump’s proposed compensation fund for Americans who say they were politically targeted by federal investigations tied to January 6 and other high-profile prosecutions.
Cable news hosts immediately branded the proposal a threat to democracy. Liberal commentators compared it to political retaliation. Editorial boards rushed out panic-filled headlines warning about abuses of presidential power.
But according to Kelly, the outrage conveniently ignores one major problem for Democrats.
Obama already created the blueprint.
Speaking on her show, Kelly directly called out what she described as the media’s selective memory when it comes to presidential power and Department of Justice settlements.
