Massie, long known for his libertarian-leaning opposition to foreign entanglements, took a hard stance against the strike, calling it “not constitutional.” He also introduced legislation to prohibit U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict unless Congress gives the green light.
“This is not our war,” Massie said last week, echoing his consistent stance against American military intervention overseas.
But Trump sees Massie’s defiance as more than just ideological—it’s political heresy.
“He is a negative force who almost always Votes ‘NO,’ no matter how good something may be,” Trump continued. “He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get.”
The president didn’t stop there. He took a blowtorch to Massie’s entire record, slamming him as “weak,” “ineffective,” and ungrateful to the military heroes who carried out the precision strike on Iran. The operation, which involved 125 U.S. aircraft, was described by military officials as the largest B-2 bomber mission in American history.
General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, praised the mission during a press conference Sunday, noting it was second only to post-9/11 operations in scale and duration.
“We had a spectacular military success yesterday, taking the ‘bomb’ right out of their hands (and they would use it if they could!),” Trump declared. “Despite all of the praise and accolades received, this ‘lightweight’ Congressman is against what was so brilliantly achieved last night in Iran.”
Trump then reminded supporters that Massie also stands opposed to another signature piece of legislation—the “Great, Big, Beautiful Bill” that Trump says is crucial for cutting taxes and deporting illegal aliens.
“He’ll undoubtedly vote against the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill, even though non-passage means a 68% Tax Increase for everybody, and many things far worse than that,” Trump warned. “MAGA should drop this pathetic LOSER, Tom Massie, like the plague!”
With Kentucky’s primary election on the horizon, Trump vowed to take his fight directly to Massie’s backyard.
“The good news is that we will have a wonderful American Patriot running against him in the Republican Primary, and I’ll be out in Kentucky campaigning really hard,” he said.
As the 2024 campaign season ramps up, Massie may find himself in the crosshairs of not just a political challenger, but the full weight of the MAGA movement. And with Trump’s endorsement often proving decisive, Massie’s future in Congress could be hanging by a thread.
“MAGA is not about lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politicians, of which Thomas Massie is definitely one,” Trump concluded. “Thank you to our incredible military for the AMAZING job they did last night. It was really SPECIAL!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
