The construction of multiple brand-new apartment buildings for individuals who crossed our border illegally was recently funded by Maine taxpayers.
Residents of these homes will have the opportunity to live rent-free for two years as they pursue work permits.

This situation raises a crucial question: why are we unable to help Americans who are homeless in the same way that we do non-Americans? Furthermore, why do we still struggle with veteran homelessness when we have the resources to meet the needs of non-Americans? Let’s take a closer look at these problems.
Do our leaders realize how hurtful this is to the millions of Americans who live here?
According to News Center Maine:
Town of Brunswick rejoices over newly constructed apartments for homeless asylum seekers.
The former naval air station base in Brunswick has undergone significant renovations over the years. Slowly but surely, businesses have opened up, and vacant streets are being transformed by housing developments. Newly constructed apartments that will eventually house temporary asylum seekers are among these changes.
On Monday, a large group of people gathered at Brunswick Landing to celebrate the completion of 60 new apartments spread over five buildings. As of right now, 24 units have been finished building. These residences have been specially designed to accommodate asylum seekers as they await the issuance of work permits. The fact that applicants for asylum cannot apply for a permit until at least six months after submitting their initial asylum application means that this approval procedure can be very drawn out.
Introducing the Maine State Housing Authority’s cutting-edge initiative. MaineHousing will take on the burden of paying asylum seekers’ rent for a generous period of up to two years as part of this initiative. After this time, unless the state decides an extension is required, the housing will switch to a mix of market-rate and affordable options.

Many American citizens who live in poverty and on the margins call Maine home. Put yourself in their position and observe this startling situation.

This is absolutely disgusting, firstly Asylum used to be for political asylum. It’s not our responsibility to home people who’s government will not protect them or will not create jobs for them. I am a legal immigrant who had to pay for my own medical examinations and related vaccinations, plus My American wife had to guarantee that for two years I would not become a BURDEN to the US government. So why are they allowed to be any different? This Country has THOUSANDS of homeless and people who work but are at the poverty level, Now we come to the THOUSANDS of Military Veterans who cannot get adequate Medical treatment again many are HOMELESS and suffer from PTSD. JUST WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE POLITICIANS THINKING? EVERY ONE OF THEM SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE, And never allowed any position above street cleaner.
