“The fear is — and a lot of politicians have said this on and off the record — the fear is that if you don’t obey him, his cult will try to kill you,” Reid said.
Reid went further, painting MAGA supporters as “armed to the teeth” zealots ready to carry out violent acts in Trump’s name.
“There are a lot of people who claimed and told [former Republican Utah Sen.] Mitt Romney this, and then Mitt Romney snitched on them and said people wanted to vote to impeach, but they were afraid that they’d be assassinated by Trump supporters because MAGA supporters are armed to the teeth,” she ranted. “They are rabid in their support of him, and it’s a religion, and so they will commit jihad for Trump.”
Left-Wing Violence Outpaces Right-Wing Attacks
According to The Atlantic, as of July 4, 2025, left-wing terror attacks outnumbered those committed by right-wing extremists.¹ Yet Reid’s narrative ignores this reality, as well as the fact that Trump survived two assassination attempts and that Kirk was murdered by a radical leftist while speaking at Utah Valley University.
The Facts Behind Kirk’s Murder
Authorities say Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, had a personal connection with a transgender male named Lance Twiggs.² Robinson’s parents told officials he had recently become “more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented” before the attack, according to Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray.²
Robinson allegedly texted Twiggs expressing anger over Kirk’s views: he had “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred.”² The documents make it clear: this was a politically motivated attack fueled by left-wing radicalization.
Kirk’s death triggered celebrations on left-wing social media. Grabien News founder Tom Elliott compiled a video showing multiple leftists rejoicing over the murder.³ Meanwhile, Democrats quickly blamed Republicans for rising political violence, even as their own supporters openly cheered a conservative activist’s death.³
A YouGov poll taken after Kirk’s murder found that 25% of self-identified “very liberal” Americans believed political violence could sometimes be justified.⁴ That’s one in four far-left Americans willing to condone assassination.
The Left’s Projection Is Clear
Hunter Biden even suggested on the Wide Awake Podcast that Kirk’s murder benefitted MAGA.⁵
“I don’t know why Charlie Kirk was shot, but I do know this. It’s only served one group of people, Charlie Kirk’s death. MAGA,” Biden said. *”They have taken this. They have wrapped themselves in it. They have righteous indignation.”*⁵
Tucker Carlson’s November 14 documentary highlighted that Thomas Matthew Crooks, one of Trump’s would-be assassins, initially opposed Trump before becoming radicalized.⁶ Crooks allegedly described Trump supporters as a “cult” in a 2020 YouTube comment.⁶
The pattern is undeniable: left-wing extremists commit acts of real violence, including the murder of Charlie Kirk and two assassination attempts on Trump. Yet media figures like Reid reverse reality, labeling conservatives as the dangerous faction.
The Left Learned Nothing
While Reid sits safely in her studio calling Trump supporters “rabid” and ready to commit “jihad,” the trail of leftist violence across America grows longer. The Left continues to demonize conservatives and claim MAGA is a murderous cult, all while ignoring the actual threat from their own radicalized base. Charlie Kirk’s murder should have been a wake-up call—but for the Left, it seems nothing has changed.
