In her talks, Cheney still places a high priority on her opposition to former President Donald Trump and the January 6 attack on the Capitol, a subject about which she has been outspoken for the last two years.

“After the 2020 election and the attack of January 6th, my fellow Republicans wanted me to lie,” She told the students, the Daily Mail said.

Cheney added, “They wanted me to say the 2020 election was stolen, the attack of January 6th wasn’t a big deal, and Donald Trump wasn’t dangerous.”

She related the painful experience of losing her position as the head of the House Republican Conference.

“I had to choose between lying and losing my position in House leadership,” She stated that she will lose her job in May 2021.

According to the article, Cheney has almost no allies on either party as a result of her commencement address.

According to The Daily Mail, students ignored the former congresswoman by turning their seats away and avoiding eye contact.

Some allegedly booed her throughout her speech.

While playing a prominent role on the House select committee entrusted with looking into the invasion, former vice president Dick Cheney’s daughter briefly won over many left-leaning people.

Beyond being the third-strongest Republican in the House, Cheney suffered a significant setback. In actuality, Harriet Hageman, a Republican, won the general election in November as a result of her loss to her in the primary.

In the primary last August, Hageman easily beat Cheney by over 40 points.

Cheney left his position in January, but the Jan. 6 committee was abolished the year before.
